What to look for in a comment automation tool

Most tools in this category look identical on a pricing page and behave very differently once they are running on your account. Four questions separate them.

Where does it actually run?

Chrome extensions act inside your own logged in browser session, which means the activity is indistinguishable from you clicking, and the risk lands on your account. Server side tools using official platform APIs are slower to set up and considerably safer to run every day.

Does it learn your voice, or pick a tone?

A tone dropdown labelled professional or friendly produces the same output for every customer. A voice engine trained on your own writing produces something only you would have written. Read any tool sample output before you commit: if it could belong to anyone, it will read as a bot.

What happens right before a reply posts?

Some tools post the moment they generate. Others hold every draft until a human approves it. Decide which you want before you connect an account you care about, because the difference only becomes obvious after something off brand has already shipped.

How does it pace itself?

Volume is what gets accounts flagged. Look for conservative rate limits, randomized gaps between actions, deduplication and cooldowns so the same person is not contacted repeatedly. A tool that advertises unlimited comments is advertising your risk.
