What is buyer intent scoring?
3 min read
Buyer intent scoring ranks each candidate post by how strongly the author is signalling they might buy, rather than by how well it matches a keyword. Quillen runs an AI ranker over every post it finds, so you answer the people showing intent instead of everyone who happened to use the term.
Why keyword matching is not enough
A keyword search for your category returns everything: buyers asking for a recommendation, vendors promoting themselves, people complaining, and bots. Reply to all of it and you waste your best hours on posts that were never going to convert, and you look like someone who replies to everything.
Intent is the missing signal. A post that says "can anyone recommend a tool for this" is worth answering. A post that merely mentions the same words in passing is not, even though a keyword filter treats them the same.
How Quillen scores it
Quillen describes your ideal customer once, then an AI ranker reads each post it finds and scores how well the author fits that description and how strongly they are signalling a need. Candidates arrive sorted by that score, with a short reason for why each one surfaced, so triage is a glance rather than a scroll.
A threshold decides which candidates are strong enough to auto add to your queue, and you set how aggressive that is. The point is not to reply more. It is to spend the same handful of replies a day on the people most likely to become customers.
